"VISION ON" GUESTBOOK

The Prof is having a quiet snooze right now after chasing a wardrobe around a field. You could try tapping on your monitor to try and wake him up. Alternatively, if you feel suitably touched by nostalgia (or you're just plain touched like the rest of us) and would like to say hello to The Prof or any of the original 'Vision On' team - heres your chance! | As a 40 year old (probably everyone else here is the same age!) I was delighted to come across this site, because one of my earliest TV memories is of watching 'The Prof' and 'The Digger'. I always knew deep down that 'The Prof' was something unique and I am always baffled and disappointed that it never gets mentioned in the media those days. My memories of it are of sudden explosions which I found a little scary, but I now appreciate that it was simply brillant surrealistic type film-making. I will be ordering the video immediately and it will be worth watching, even if the material on it isn't necessary the same as appeared on 'Vision On'.
By the way, I like the fact that Dave Cleveland lives in Manningtree, where 'The Prof' was apparently filmed (my overriding memory of it, other than the explosions, are the surrealistically open fields). I have been to Manningtree myself (admittedly for no purpose other than to watch football) so this is amazing. I presume Dave still walks around the local streets wearing a white lab coat!
Anyway, thanks Dave for happy childhood memories.
Christopher Ashbridge.

| I was surprised and pleased to find back one of my earliest TV memories ever. Vision On was broadcasted on Belgian (dutch) TV in the '70s. It was terrific, proven by the fact that I remember plenty of details about it !

presentally trying to save the world from intergalatic space mutants and wasting my good young brain as quick as I can...

| MY GOODNESS!!!
I remember watching Vision On as a child back in the late 70's to early 80's on public television. I was so young that I didn't even know the name of the show. At that age, I just refered to it as 'Ants & Grasshoppers', for the obvious reason. I had thought all traces of this show had vanished off the face of the earth. Finding your site has been a breath of fresh, nostalgic air that just made my night! Thank you for this digital shrine to this esoteric programme and making a fellow animator feel like a kid again! Long live the Digger!

| I had the sudden urge to see "The Prof" rubbing his chin and flying around a field without (seemingly) walking.. This site is so cool and contributed SO much to so many peoples lives.. PLEASE NEVER let this site vanish.. burn it to CD and bury it in the Blue Peter garden or something.. It means so much to me. Thanks all.!!! Jeff

| I can't believe I stumbled across this site! I saw Vision On as a child in Sri Lanka, where I grew up. My sister and I would drop toys and scramble to the TV when it came on. The music, the logo (I used to draw in on notebooks, napkins, fogged up windows for years) and the guy who painted with roller brushes on HUGE sheets of paper with only 2 or 3 colors. The Prof. The sped up bits. We were mesmerized. I must have been 5-6 when I watched the show, and it's still stuck in my head. Just wanted to say that Vision On was influential in so many ways, even outside the English speaking world.
