I have it from the horses mouth (and I do hope she'll forgive me for that phrase) but a special Vision On tribute programme has been commisioned and work is due to start on it later this year - thats a definate cast iron thing. Anyone any suggestions what they'd like to see? They may well include it if we all shout loud enough.

If I had to choose a Prof clip (and its a toughie), my money is on the egg sequence in Dave's kitchen. Have to have the burbles, Filopat & Patofil, Digger, Mirek Lang's work (PLEASE bury the woofenpuss - HATE that thing), Ben Benision, Wilf Lunn and the classics like Tony laying paper on oil & water to make that groovy marble effect, or maybe the elephant done in line marking on an airfield, oh there were so many good bits......

Well, apart from what you've mentioned already, I'd like to see some of the mirror-world stuff, and McCoy falling into a painting of a mountain cutting to location footage of him getting very cold on a real mountain. Does the early series footage of Pat on a miniature train running into the camera still exist? I hope Ben Benison could make an appearance, I gather he went back to theatre work, for a while as part of a theatre-group called 'Omelette'. I quite liked the Woofumpuss, but each to his own. I'll always treasure it's appearance on 'Goodies Rule OK'. And is there any chance we can see the formation dancing Daleks clip? That would be great to see, please, please, pretty please, BBC Bristol chaps! P.S: Off topic, but did you get my last email, Jackbox? |

| Additional info on the "Dalek Dance". Mark at the Mausoleum Club said:"I think the "Dalek Dance" was either in the edition "Ghosties And Ghoulies And Long-Legged Beasties And Things That Go Bump In The Night" ( 22/1/74 ) or "Space" ( 18/2/75 )." He reckons that it most likely was the "Ghoulies And Ghosties.." one though. Just thought I'd add that in case it made it easier to track it down, if anyone in a position to do so was minded to! |

| Me again. Just wondering, Jackbox, if you know which channel has commissioned this? I would guess BBC4, and they do treat these kind of docs/tributes very well, but I was just curious (well, I'm often told I'm curious anyway). |

Ah yes, apt indeed, I meant which BBC channel is it being made for broadcast on? In the old days I would have automatically assumed it would be shown on BBC2, but after the BBC4 docos about the Radiophonic Workshop, Magic Roundabout and more,I wondered if it might be a Bristol production for them. Maybe hasn't been decided yet, but I've been asked about this so I was just pondering... |

t'would be impossible to say at this stage. I think it's likely to be BBC1 or 2 what with the Tony Hart connection but I will ask when the time is right:)

Ok update. It'll be for "Time Shift" - BBC Four.

Cheers for the update. The BBC4 Time Shift strand handles this kind of thing very well, so BBC Bristol will have rein to do something very nice, and I'm still hoping we might even get a repeat of a full show on BBC4 to tie in (I can see that happening on BBC4, but not BBC2 for example). I suppose this isn't good for anyone still not digitaled-up (get yourself a Freeview box quick!), but BBC2 often shows the "Time Shift" docos later on. Can't wait for this! |
