Welcome

'Its Prof Again' is home to 'The Prof' (David Cleveland, Tony Amies and David Wyatt) but has also become a central resource for fans of Vision On with Tony Hart & Pat Keysell (BBC TV 1964-1976) and many others who contributed to the series.

Continually growing, 'Its Prof Again' documents the background to 'Vision On' - a unique and inspiring television programme aimed primarily at deaf children. It starred Tony Hart, Pat Keysell, Sylvester McCoy, Ben Benison, Wilf Lunn and David Cleveland, with contributions from David Sproxton, Peter Lord, Penny Nuttall-Smith, Mirek Lang, Laurie Booth and many many others.

The site is perhaps testament to the enduring success that Vision On had. Many of the episodes still reside with the BBC who produced it, although there are no plans to release any at this moment in time - if ever. We do hope you enjoy the site and will feel suitably overcome with nostalgia to add your comments to the forum or guestbook. Vision On was very much the result of all those involved and we are ALWAYS delighted to hear from people who worked on it, contributed to it or just simply loved watching it!

Vision On was made at BBC Bristol. It was totally unique and broke new ground by combining Art, mime and music in a format that brought both hearing and non-hearing children together.

Here was a programme that successfully captured the imagination of its viewers and despite the fact it is almost 30 years since it was on our screens, there are thousands of artists, designers, performers and animators that were either heavily influenced by it or got their first break as contributors - including David Sproxton who developed 'Morph' and later went on to be involved in Wallace and Gromit, Chicken Run etc. 'Vision On' won many awards (quite rightly) and was exported to many other countries - notably Canada.
